Use and Care Instructions - Care - Maintenance

USE INSTRUCTIONS

Fill the boiler with cold water up to—but not beyond—the bottom edge of the safety valve.

Insert the funnel into the boiler and fill it with coffee grounds, without pressing, up to the edge. Remove any coffee residue from the boiler rim.

Screw the top chamber onto the boiler firmly, but not excessively, and without applying pressure on the handle.

Place the moka pot on the heat source. If using an open flame, make sure it does not extend beyond the edge of the boiler.

Once brewing is complete, do not leave the moka pot on the heat source, as this could cause permanent damage.

CARE

Ensure the moka pot is intact and all components are present: the safety valve, coffee funnel, gasket, and filter plate.

For the first use, discard the first three coffees to ensure all parts are clean.

Never unscrew the moka pot before it has completely cooled down.

Do not touch the hot surface—use the handle and knob.

Keep the moka pot out of children's reach during use.

During heating, make sure the safety valve is not directed toward the user.

Do not wash in the dishwasher.

Wash using only water—do not use detergents. Avoid steel wool or abrasive products.

Never use the moka pot without water in the boiler.

The boiler should be filled exclusively with water—do not use other liquids.

Do not use other infusions (such as cocoa powder, chamomile, etc.), which may clog the filter.

Store the moka pot only when completely dry and without fully tightening the parts.

MAINTENANCE
• Periodically check the condition of the gasket and coffee funnel. Replace if worn or damaged.
• Check regularly that the filter holes are not blocked. If clogged, clear them with a pin or small brush; otherwise, replace the filter with an original one.
• Original spare parts are available in special packages from authorized dealers. Avoid using non-original replacements.
